We started today off early at 6am. We toured the Coloseum and the Forum and while we didn't have the best or most entertaining tour guide, we were breath taken by the history and impressive sites of the ancient Roman Empire. After a few hours in the sweltering heat we went to lunch in what used to be the Jewish Ghetto of Rome during WW2. We then took a bus ride From Rome to Florence. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a pleasant and scenic ride through the country side of Tuscany ended up a sweaty, and stinky ride due to the fact that the air conditioning went out and we were following an open dump truck. We eventually switched busses but the delay turned a three hour joy ride into a 5 hour drain. We arrived in Florence around 7:30 and checked into a charming yet funky hotel with rooms all over the place. After settling in, we went as a group to dinner where we ate a Pasta and pork dish and a simple but tasty desert. We wrapped up the day by enjoying some free time in the center of Florence. We wandered along the walks along the Arno River, enjoying the joyful simplicity and beauty of Florence and it's people.

Just Pictures!
We finally have some reliable internet so I'm going to use this chance to get as many pics on the blog as I can. I'll put text to the pics later and maybe not until after the tour as I don't have a lot of time to do that like I want.
